Come and meet other PhD researchers from all around the university and share your thoughts! This session is organized around informal communication and loosely facilitated discussions concerning the PhD life, career, and other issues important to you right now that you might wish to share and discuss with others. This is not a lecture, and there will be no presentations. Welcome. Let's do this and see what happens.
Time: 19.1.2026 at 12.00-14.00
Place: Porthania, room P219 (Teacher's Lounge), Yliopistonkatu 3.
Language: English / flexible
Accessibility: The room is partly accessible. The room is on the second floor and reachable with a wheelchair by taking the elevator from the lobby. The Porthania Lobby Services will help with the manual elevator door upon request. On the second floor, there are two manual doors leading to the room (no steps or high thresholds). The session leaders will help with the doors on the second floor . The room has no induction loop. The nearest accessible toilet is in the Porthania lobby.
The event is aimed at all PhD researchers and recent PhD graduates of the University of Helsinki (up to one year from graduation). Register for this event and make sure there's space for you in the living room by clicking on the "Book my spot" button! However, if you forgot to sign up, feel free to come and see if there's a vacant seat.
