Are you an international student in master´s degree programme /a doctoral researcher at the University of Helsinki? Do you want to build professional connections and learn about Finnish working life? If so, apply for the HelsinkiUNI International Talent Programme (UNITalent).

UNITalent is a 3-month networking programme where you connect with Finnish organisations, gain career insights, and expand your network. While it is not a recruitment or trainee programme, it’s a unique chance to understand the job market.

Application period:  The application period is extended until Sun 16.11. or until all the groups have reached their maximum number of applications that will be send to the host organisations. Groups will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If your chosen group is full, join the waiting list if there is still room on the list.

Programme duration  The groups will meet 2-3 times with the host organisation during the programme. The programme starts on February 3rd and ends no later than April 30th. You can find the exact dates in the hosts' profiles.

Who is eligible to apply?

International students in master’s degree programmes and international doctoral researchers at the University of Helsinki. Finnish students who have done their undergraduate or graduate degree abroad may also apply. For more information visit: Target groups & eligibility.

List of host organisations

Each organisation has indicated in their profile which degree programmes and/or doctoral programmes are a good fit. If your programme is listed by the organisation in question, you can apply to it. Read the profile with care.

UNITalent season 2025-2026 will have 10 groups. There is still a spot available:

You can register on the waiting list in the following groups:

• Ericsson -a Swedish telecommunications company providing mobile networks and digital services globally 
• OP Financial Group (OP Pohjola) – the leading financial services group in Finland
  

Application

• You can apply only to one group/waiting list. Make sure you can fully commit to the schedule.
• You will be asked to explain why you chose this host. Organisations select the participants based on the information you state the application form in relation to their own motivations. There will be space to write max 150 words per choice. Please explain clearly why you want to be part of this host’s group.
• Please note that the groups are filled in order of registration and some might fill up before the application deadline. When the group is full, you can register on the waiting list.
